Introduction to ESG in a Changing Landscape of Sustainable Investing
The presentation will provide an overview of ESG and sustainable investing. We will cover a brief overview of the evolution of ESG investing and will explain the benefits of incorporating ESG analysis into the risk assessment of an investment, including topics such as materiality and intentionality.

Breckinridge Capital Advisors is the subadvisor of the John Hancock ESG Core Bond Fund. They are an independently owned investment advisor specializing in investment grade fixed income portfolio management. They currently manage $36b in fixed income mandates, and are leaders in ESG and sustainable investing. Succession Planning Strategies for Your Retirement
This program details the importance of having a succession plan, describing the difference between continuity and succession plans. The presentation covers the critical importance of developing key aspects of the practice to provide client protection and strong retention. The topic will include short term and long term planning options, review methods to understand the engagement process, terms overview and how to avoid pitfalls which can occur in different planning phases.

As a widely known concern, overcoming challenges with succession planning is an ongoing issue. This presentation will address methods for increasing the amount flexibility to the planning process.

Six Themes Driving the Next 5-Years, Bob Browne, CFA

Chief Investment Officer at Northern Trust

Bob Browne is the chief investment officer for Northern Trust. He is a member of Northern Trust's Operating Group, reporting directly to the Management Group.

Bob chairs the firm's Investment Policy Committee, which sets investment policy for all Northern Trust groups in all asset classes. He is responsible for investment performance, process and philosophy across multiple investment strategies including fixed income, active equity and passive investments. Bob joined Northern Trust in January 2009 and has more than 20 years of investment experience.

From 2004 until 2009, Bob worked for ING Investment Management and was the firm's chief investment officer for Fixed Income and Proprietary Investments. In this capacity, he oversaw $120 billion in assets under management across retail and institutional clients, as well as the firm's own insurance assets. From 2002 to 2004, Bob was founder and managing partner of Picador Capital, an alternative investment firm. From 1999 to 2001, he was co-head of Americas Fixed Income for Merrill Lynch Investments and he also worked in the firm's London office from 1997 to 1999 as a senior portfolio manager. Bob spent the first eight years of his career, from 1989 until 1997, at JP Morgan Investment working as a global fixed income and currency portfolio manager in the firm's Tokyo and London offices.

Bob holds a B.A. with a major in economics from the College of the Holy Cross. He also has a Masters in international business studies from the University of South Carolina. Bob is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.


Introduction to ESG in a Changing Landscape of Sustainable Investing, Tim Coffin

Senior Vice President Director of Sustainability
Tim, senior vice president, is a consultant relations manager and director of sustainability at Breckinridge. He is also a member of the firm's Sustainability Committee. In his role, Tim focuses on developing the firm's institutional relationships. In his time at Breckinridge, Tim has helped lead the introduction of Breckinridge's environmental, social and governance (ESG) capabilities to clients. He has been with the firm since 2012 and has over 30 years of fixed income experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Tim was a vice president at Fidelity Investments where he launched and managed the firm's municipal finance group within Fidelity Capital Markets. Prior to Fidelity, he spent over 10 years with Corby Capital Markets Inc. where he managed the sales and marketing teams and served his last 3 years as the firm's president. Tim speaks regularly at conferences on topics related to sustainable investing and finance. He is a member of the advisory committee for the Brookings Institute's Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy Annual Municipal Finance Conference, and previously served on Municipal Fiscal Health Working Group for the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Tim serves on the governing board for Ridley College in Ontario, Canada. He received a B.A. from Hobart College and holds a Series 65 license.

Before joining RMF, Geoffrey has held reverse mortgage positions with leading financial institutions Citibank and Bank of America among others. Throughout his career, he has held various executive-level positions, and managed some of the industry's highest-performing teams.

She created an educational succession plan roadmap program designed for independent advisors and provides exit planning strategies presentations for financial industry professional groups such as the Financial Planning Association (FPA).

Her accomplished firm manages award winning advisory practice relationships with offices in CA, OR, MI, NY tri-state and DC metro areas since 2001. Clients include independent broker dealers such as Raymond James, Cambridge Investment Advisors, registered investment advisors using TD Ameritrade, Schwab Institutional and Fidelity Advisor platforms, CPAs and private investment management firms with range of $150 million - $2 billion assets under management.

She is an active Financial Planning Association (FPA) member and is three term past-President of the FPA San Gabriel Valley chapter. She serves on McIntosh Capital Investment Advisory Board, the judging committee for Spirit of Entrepreneurship, a Santa Barbara nonprofit recognizing women owned businesses, and Small Business Development Corp. (SBDC) advisory board in Los Angeles representing 5,000 entrepreneurs and start ups.
