Medicare in Retirement- Helping Clients reach their health and wealth goals! (1 CEU)
This presentation will educate you on the magic age of 65! We will review what happens when your clients turn 65 years of age or qualify for Medicare. We will discuss the Medicare health insurance options available today, important deadlines to be aware of, how your clients can best protect their assets and what assumptions should be included when estimating health care costs through retirement. Also, how partnering Healthcare Advisors and Financial Advisors together assists in offering solutions that best fits clients retirement healthcare planning needs and strengthens the health-wealth connection. Lastly, we will review tools that will help you engage clients and prospects with the right resources to answer their questions.

A Pragmatic Walk Though the Ethical Looking Glass (2 CEUs)
  1. Define and discuss a financial planning engagement, material elements of financial planning, and the financial planning process.
  2. Analyze specific fact patterns to determine if a financial planning relationship exists.
  3. Differentiate between the standards of care set forth in Rules 1.4 and 4.5 of the Rules of Conduct, and apply each standard of care to specific factual situations.
  4. Apply each Practice Standard set forth in the Financial Planning Practice Standards to a hypothetical financial planning engagement.
  5. Identify the information that must be disclosed to the client in writing by a CFP® professional who is engaged in a financial planning relationship or providing material elements of financial planning.
  6. Define the required information that must be disclosed to clients and prospective clients, when that information must be disclosed, and apply each disclosure requirement to specific factual situations. (This includes but is not limited to the compensation and conflict-of-interest disclosure requirements set forth in Rule 2.2 of the Rules of Conduct and Practice Standards 100-1, 400-3, and 500-1.)

Marcia Davis is a Sales Director with UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement, a Fortune 50 health insurance company in the Southern California area. With more than 20 years of sales and management experience in health care, Marcia provides strategic leadership for the Medicare sales division managing sales, business development and recruitment for the extensive broker and exclusive agent channels in the Los Angeles and Pacific Central Coast areas. Marcia's passion for the senior population ensures her teams are consistently focused on the company mission statement, "we help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone." Prior to healthcare she worked in sales and management in the field of career placement. Marcia graduated from the University of Southern California earning a BA degree in Communications. She is licensed in California for both Life & Health Insurance and Real Estate.

Melissa Kemp is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and member of the Financial Planning Association. Serving clients at Premium Administration, LLC in Scottsdale, AZ and the surrounding communities. Melissa is currently serving on the CFP® Board of Standards Ethics Course working group.
