With the current retirement income crisis facing baby boomers and existing retirees, today's asset managers, insurance agents and hybrid advisors need every viable resource to help their clients and sustain their practice. A reverse mortgage can help increase clients' cash flow and preserve assets from premature erosion; reduce the most common risks to retirement income; optimize retirement outcomes for the mass affluent; improve liquidity and add new dollars to retirement savings; help advisors create more planning opportunities from existing clients and gain access to new ones AND manage tax brackets and keep clients within lower adjusted gross income boundaries. Savvy Social Security Planning: What Baby Boomers Need to Know to Maximize Retirement Income, Joanne Crowley, MBA, RICP®

Americans are living longer and spending more time than ever in retirement. How can you make sure you have enough to retire? Equally important, once retired, what's the smartest way to tap your assets? When should you start taking Social Security?

The way you answer those questions could affect your-and your spouse's-retirement income and standard of living for the rest of your lives.

I specialize in supporting individuals, couples, and small-business owners who are nearing or in retirement. In fact, I am among a select group of U.S. professionals to hold the Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation, underscoring my expertise in areas including asset "decumulation," Social Security, income taxation, estate issues, health insurance, and other risks to retirement income. I conduct retirement and Social Security workshops for a variety of audiences including Baby Boomers and professional organizations.

As your retirement navigator, I will work with you on a customized strategy to guide you through your golden years. And, because retirement planning is just one piece of a complex financial picture, I will help you identify and achieve other goals, from saving for college to securing your family's future.


Reverse Mortgages: The New Face of Retirement, Janice Cohen

I am a reverse mortgage advisor. I bring over 12 years of experience to this special area of lending. I began my reverse mortgage career at Wells Fargo in 2005, having had a prior career as a music educator. I will sing for you if you ask, but make sure you give her a few days to warm up her vocal chords.

I approach each transaction from the perspective of a mortgage planner. The client's cash flow, equity position and other assets are carefully scrutinized and accounted for when providing a detailed proposal. I take special care when guiding seniors through this process. This is a big decision and I never lose sight of that. I am patient and explanatory so that there are no surprises and the client feels in control to as great an extent as possible.

I am a native New Yorker, transplanted to Los Angeles just 7 years ago. I am the mother of two adult sons, one of whom is a musician like me and the other who is an artist like his father. I love living in Los Angeles where I never, ever have to shovel snow out of the driveway again.
I am passionate about doing what is in the best interest of her clients.


The Power of Effective Client Communication, Aaron Alley

As a regional director in Dimensional's Financial Advisor Services group, Aaron Alley is responsible for oversight of the firm's conference and event experience. In this role, he helps drive the strategy around advisor education, conference content, speaker training, and industry event participation.

Before joining Dimensional, Aaron was a financial advisor on a private wealth management team at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Los Angeles, California. Prior to becoming an advisor, he was an assistant vice president and analyst at Citigroup Private Bank, providing investment strategies and tailored credit solutions for HNW clients. A CFP® professional, Aaron earned his BA in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
