Co-Founders Cristina and Stephanie are passionate about what we are creating. We are looking for two interns to join the movement. While helping you potentially earn education credits and gain valuable CFP® work experience requirements, you will also learn from a new generation of financial planners determined to shake up the financial advice industry.

We are looking for two interns in the Los Angeles area for a long-term internship with potential for a full-time position. As a crucial part of our team, you will be involved with all aspects of running a successful financial planning firm. You will be expected to become a ninja of our financial planning software, managing our client experience, and have innovative ideas to grow the business.   • Oversee scheduling for meetings with new and existing clients.
  • Set up prospective clients and maintain existing clients within Mana's technology stack.
  • Document meetings within Mana's client relationship management system.
  • Review client cash flow by categorizing expenses and creating summary views in Excel.
  • Build and maintain Trello Board for each client for Mana internal tracking.
  • Assist with client deliverables, which may include researching specific financial topics, performing analysis on data, creating charts to visualize analysis, or branding deliverables.
  • Create content for social media or blog posts.
  • Candidate with a GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Working knowledge of certain Microsoft products, including, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Windows

Responsibilities:Duties & Responsibilities
  • Becoming knowledgeable about the company's methodology for acquiring new clients, prospecting and acquiring new clients that meet the criteria of the company
  • Initiating and developing relationships with high-net worth individuals, endowments and foundations, particularly in the greater Los Angeles marketplace
  • Establishing and nurturing new client relationships, COI (center of influence) relationships, and warm leads from the Partner overseeing the Los Angeles office via direct sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and implementation of firm mandated marketing plans.
  • Facilitating communications and meetings between clients and the Company
  • Provide financial planning and investment advice to clients and prospects.
  • Engage clients and prospects on personal finance topics, including debt management, savings objectives and strategies, personal and family budgeting, cash flow projections, estate planning considerations, tax efficiency, protection planning through insurance, and retirement.
  • Assisting in responding to customer inquiries and requests including advice on current or proposed investments
  • Constructing customized multi-manager portfolios for clients within the approved investment platform
  • Construct and monitor Investment Policy Statements.
  • Keep current on investments within client portfolios across all asset classes (i.e. equities, fixed income, and alternatives).
  • Implementation of client investment plans,
  • Overseeing the opening of new accounts with custodians and hedge fund managers,
  • Maintaining data in the Firm's Financial Planning and CRM systems
  • Taking responsibility as the primary Relationship Manager for those clients that you bring to the Company
  • Organize and lead client meetings and phone conferences.
  • Develop relationships with COI's to triangulate the team and better serve the client.
  • Interact with third party service providers (i.e. outside custodians, reporting providers, and other advisors).
  • Monitor client liquidity needs and daily account activity reports.
  • Review monthly/quarterly client performance reports.
  • Oversee documentation process for account opening, investments, money movement, and other account maintenance.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and assist in identifying potentially fraudulent activity.
